Reduce Lead In Your Drinking Water
The EPA reports that lead from drinking water accounts for 10-20% of the total lead exposure in young children. According to the EPA,
“Too much lead in the human body can cause serious damage to the brain, kidneys, nervous system, and red blood cells. You have the greatest risk, even with short term exposure, if you are a young child, or you are pregnant.”
Well, that get’s my attention. The main tips for reducing lead in your drinking water are:
- Flush Your Pipes Before Drinking
- Only Use Cold Water for Consumption
