Crunchy Dad

Apparently you can get a caterpillar to eat a word into a leaf with a little honey. Not as fast as a laserjet but much greener. Sounds like a great activity for kids and it’s the right season.

The US Postal service has an idea to make it easier for everyone in the US to recycle electronics. They started a “Free and Green” pilot program that allows customers to recycle small electronics and inkjet cartridges by mailing them free of charge.

The electronics are sent to Clover Technologies Group who will recycle or remanufacture the electronics. They are also paying for the cost of shipping.

The pilot is set for 10 areas across the country, including Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles and San Diego, but could become a national program this fall if the pilot program proves successful. Pick up free shipping containers at the your local post office in these areas.

I think people want to recycle but they need it to be simple. We have habits and we’re also short on time. The more difficult it is to recycle, the less likely we are to do it. This program could make it extremely simple to recycle small electronics and it’s an easy way to be a little more crunchy.

I can’t take credit for this design but I love it. It just seems right for a crunchy baby like mine. It’s cotton, not hemp so don’t get to excited but it is hand dyed.
